The Epileptic Cow

I just have to marvel that someone actually gets paid to think these things up. According to the box, your child is supposed to giggle and laugh with delight. Mine seemed unimpressed. But it comes in an elephant model and a pig model; maybe she would like them better.

Hi,

Maybe she doesn't have midwestern roots, where one grows up with an appreciation of cooooows...Mooving on, maybe she will grow to like it with more exposure to farm country and state fairs where kids can milk real cows?? Hmm. maybe cow appreciation is a learned expertise? I'm sure she could pick up the finer points of bovine-appreciation. Future possibilities?

Why is it that toy manufacturers think that babies need toys that light up, sing, and move?! If they spent any time with babies, they would realize how they are fully entertained by wiggling their toes or pulling your nose or by banging a wooden block... I think the elileptic cow syndrome is more likely to cause epileptic babies than anything else. My kids have this one electronic learning table with lights so bright they gave me a migraine! I had to put electrical tape on them to dull the light--what's up with that? Maybe we buy these toys more for ourselves than for them? What do you think?
